In this time of rapid technological and societal change, we face a critical choice: to be passive spectators of transformation or active shapers of our collective future. As we reflect on the evolving landscape of work and leadership. We must not let the techno-elites terrify us into surrendering our agency over AI and thinking that you need "credentials" to understand artificial intelligence. The power to decide how these tools serve humanity belongs to all of us. Fear is their weapon; understanding and collective action are ours.

This is more than a rallying cry. It’s a reminder that effective leadership today demands adaptability and the courage to learn. Being a good leader—whether you’re a union president, shop steward, or organizer—is not just about advocacy or negotiation. It’s about being versatile, informed, and prepared to guide others through the complexities of the modern workplace.

That’s why we’re thrilled to announce a new series of regular training sessions designed to empower workers and leaders alike. These sessions will cover foundational union skills like how to be an effective union president, shop steward, or organizer, but also technical skills essential for navigating our changing world. From using AI to streamline workplace tasks to understanding Web3 and its implications for labor, these courses aim to bridge the gap between traditional union values and cutting-edge innovation.
